The Weight and Wisdom of Regret

Regret—this has been something that both helped me and kept me stuck. It’s been my motivator and my doom, all at once.

I regret so many things I’ve said that led to unfavorable situations. And I regret the things I didn’t do earlier. But at the same time, regret has helped me grow.

So… is regret good or bad?

Or is it—just like us—something complex, a walking contradiction?

I could easily expand on this topic today, but instead, I want to leave you with something:

Take a minute to reflect on this yourself.

What do you regret?

Can it be fixed?

Are you willing to be vulnerable, to put ego aside, and try again?

What shape or form does your regret take?
Is it truly too late… or is there still some way to fix it?

Even if it’s just a little—some healing is better than none.

And if you’ve tried and faced your regret head-on, you’ve already grown. You’ve already made progress.

There will always be regrets. But living with less of them is better than carrying all of them.

Sometimes, we also need to forgive ourselves.

We’re human, after all.

That’s part of regret too—learning to move on, not just from what happened, but from the self who made those choices.

And maybe that’s where the wisdom of regret comes in. It reminds us what matters. It stings, but it teaches.

Regret can be a motivator. I think that part’s pretty clear… isn’t it? 😊
